Project scope:
Selected remote technology (RT) (terrestrial and air laser scanning, unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), aerial photography and hemispheric photography as well as satellite images of various resolution)  will be tested and its application with respect to economic aspects and quality evaluated.
It is also expected that a practical method for the estimation of the quality of timber assortments and fuel wood in forests using RT will be developed.
Project results will be used for:
the estimation of forest biomass with respect to area (size) and ownership;
non-exploitative forest utilisation;
competent advice for forest owners and decision-makers;
sustainable availability of timber assortments in demand;
the value growth of goods and products in rural areas.
