Five measures are undertaken within this task:

• data collection on selected forest sample plots by means of terrestrial measurements: laser scanning, standard tree measurements
• biomass estimation with use of multivariation functions
• terrestrial data collection for validation of data obtained with remote methods
• development of growth models for forecasting of change in forest biomass
• establishment of laboratory (in Forest District Drawno) for measurements of whole biomass of selected trees
