Project partner meeting in Maciejewo

Successive, the fourth partners meeting of the project "A multi-national decision support system for forest biomass assessment based on remote sensing and modelling (ForseenPOMERANIA)" has been held within 13-14 of November 2012 in a medieval palace in Maciejewo, set in a picturesque area. The host of the meeting was the Regional Directorate of the State Forests in Szczecin.

There was a field trip through the territory of Goleniów Forest District on the first day, where participants become acquainted with forest management, including: road investments and water facilities built within the project of "Small Lowland Retention", or financed from NFOŚiGW and “Program dla Odry 2006”.

The following day started with multimedia presentations, which showed the progress of the project realization since the last partners meeting in Sparow. Afterwards,  prof. dr. Ralf Kätzel (LFE) arranged for next steps of the project realization and appointed the date of the next partners meeting in 2013.

The host of the meeting will be the lead partner - Forest Competence Centre Eberswalde (LFE).  A chairman of the project advisory group -  prof. dr. Tomasz Zawiła-Niedźwiecki assessed ongoing cooperation of the project partners and its advancement very favourably.
