How can cities be designed to remain attractive, functional, and resilient to climate change at the same time?

We cordially invite you to an open lecture by Prof. Anna Szövényi from the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences (MATE) — an architect, urban planner, and Head of the Department of Urban Planning and Urban Green Infrastructure at the Institute of Landscape Architecture, Urban Planning and Garden Art.

Prof. Szövényi specialises in urban design, urban planning, and green infrastructure. Her academic and professional work focuses on the relationship between urban form and climate conditions, the analysis of public spaces, and the contemporary challenges of climate adaptation in cities.

During the lecture entitled: “Form Follows Climate: Can Attractive Urban Spaces Also Be Adaptive?” the speaker will present contemporary approaches to urban design in which spatial aesthetics go hand in hand with climate resilience and the quality of urban life.
