Deputies of the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology (TICT) from Uzbekistan visiting PULS
On 22–23 April, the Poznań University of Life Sciences (PULS) hosted a delegation from the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology (TICT) – a partner institution from Uzbekistan that has signed a cooperation agreement with PULS since 2025. This event was the next milestone in the developing relationship, fostered in the course of the Rectors’ Forums of Poland and Uzbekistan and through prior educational initiatives.
The delegation was chaired by Bakhodir Boboradjabov, First Vice-Rector for Youth and Spiritual Affairs. Discussions centred on identifying priority areas for collaboration and opportunities for its development, including the Erasmus+ programme (Key Action KA171 – mobility with non-EU countries), the NAWA academic exchange programmes, and others.
The guests held meetings with the university’s authorities and representatives of the faculties and explored the research and teaching facilities at PULS, visiting laboratories and specific expert units from several faculties. The PULS was represented by: the Rector, Prof. Krzysztof Szoszkiewicz, the Vice-Rector for International Relations, Prof. Karolina Pawlak, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Horticulture and Biotechnology, Prof. Daniel Lipiński, Dean of the Faculty of Environmental and Mechanical Engineering, Prof. Klaudia Borowiak, Vice-Dean for Research and International Cooperation at the Faculty of Economics Prof. Ewa Kiryluk-Dryjska, and Vice-Dean for Studies at the Faculty of Food Science and Nutrition, Dr Maciej Kuligowski.
Moreover, the agenda also covered a guided tour of the university’s facilities, such as the Biocentre, the Pilot Biotechnology Station, the laboratories of the Faculty of Food Science and Nutrition, along with the research labs of the Faculty of Environmental and Mechanical Engineering (including the 3D lab) and the Behavioral Economics Laboratory at the Faculty of Economics.
Our guests repeatedly highlighted the excellent content and the very well-organized structure of the visit, whilst expressing their hope that this would lead to further development of our partnership. The meeting has been an important step towards strengthening this collaboration and has opened up new opportunities for joint initiatives in the fields of research and education.
