„Easter workshops in Szreniawa” introduces international students to Polish traditions

26.03.2026

On March 24, 2026, the PULS International Relations Office organized an engaging trip to the National Museum of Agriculture and Agri-Food industry in Szreniawa, during which international students and Erasmus+ exchange students could learn more about Polish culture and Easter traditions.

The students had the honor of participating in a workshop on making Opole-style kroszonka eggs under the guidance of folk artist Ms. Sabina Karwat, and they listened to a lecture on the symbolism of Easter eggs in Poland. The group then toured the traditional Easter table at the Palace and viewed the collection of Easter eggs. At the Easter Fair, they had the opportunity to purchase Polish handicrafts and Easter decorations made by folk artists and the museum’s Handicraft Club. An integral part of the programme was a visit to the animals in the barn, where the students marveled at the sight of young sheep and goats.

Finally, students took part in a culinary workshop where they gained practical skills in preparing Wielkopolska white steamed sausage. It is worth noting that this product is included on the Ministry’s List of Traditional Products of the Wielkopolska Voivodeship, making it an important part of the region’s culinary heritage. The workshop was led in a very friendly manner by the renowned specialist Mr. Przemysław Tecław— director of the Meat Industry Museum in Sielinek.

All participants were delighted with the opportunity to learn about Polish traditions, and during the trip, they captured the experience in commemorative photos set against an Easter backdrop.
