The meeting was initiated by Google, which invited the Poznań University of Life Sciences to collaborate as one of 17 Polish universities that are particularly active in using Google solutions in their academic activities. The Poznań University of Life Sciences’ collaboration with Google has been ongoing since 2016, when an agreement was signed that included, among other things, the provision of 10,000 accounts for faculty and students. Currently, as the university continues to grow and the role of digital technologies in education and research expands, the University plans to expand its use of these solutions.

The main topic of discussion was expanding cooperation within the Google for Education program, including the use of modern tools to support the educational process and the development of digital competencies across the entire academic community. Particular attention was paid to the potential use of artificial intelligence, including Gemini for Education and Gemini Notebook (formerly NotebookLM), which can support faculty and students in teaching, analyzing information and creating educational materials.

As part of this collaboration, a series of training sessions developed by Google for the PULS academic community is planned. In the fall of 2026, training sessions will be held for three target groups: faculty members who teach courses, researchers and students. Google will also offer PULS students access to comprehensive courses designed to develop skills in artificial intelligence, culminating in the award of certificates.

The discussions also covered preparations for a national conference on the use of Google tools in education and higher education, scheduled to take place in the spring of 2027. The event will provide an opportunity for representatives of Polish universities to exchange experiences and present best practices related to the use of innovative digital technologies, including solutions based on artificial intelligence.

The growing collaboration with Google is part of the Poznań University of Life Sciences’ strategy, which aims to drive the university’s digital transformation, and prepare students and staff to thrive in a world where artificial intelligence technologies are becoming one of the key tools for the advancement of science and education.
