PULS ranked as the best life sciences university in Poland by THE World University Rankings 2026

15.10.2025

The Poznań University of Life Sciences (PULS) has re-entered the prestigious Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2026, including 2191 universities from 115 countries. As the best life sciences university in Poland, Poznań University of Life Sciences validates its position in international ratings and confirms its research potential in key areas of life sciences.

In this most recent edition, once again PULS was graded in the 1201–1500 range. Retaining its place in THE World University Rankings 2026, considered one of the most reliable global indicators of higher education quality, PULS proves its highly stable position in the global academic environment.

When compared to other universities in Poznań, PULS ranks second behind Adam Mickiewicz University. The University of Warsaw and the Jagiellonian University (both in the 601–800 range) remain at the forefront of Polish universities, along with medical universities, with upper positions based on high citation rates and research grants. The Poznań University of Life Sciences is the leader in Poland in the field of agricultural, forestry and life sciences.

The ranking judges universities in five main areas: teaching, research, citations, international cooperation, and transfer of knowledge to the economy. This result proves that the university perfectly matches high-quality teaching with growing scientific activity and internationalization process.

The attendance of PULS in the global THE 2026 ranking is an important signal for students and scientific partners. The university stands out with a beneficial ratio of students per employee, which fosters high-quality education and an individual approach to students. An increasingly wide range of English-taught programs and cooperation with foreign research centers gradually boost its international image.

Maintaining this spot in the global ranking is not only a validation of PULS’ quality, but also a strong impulse for further development and strengthening position amid leading scientific centers in Poland and abroad.
