PULS spokesperson awarded for exemplary information policy

The editors of Polish Press Agency (PAP) service – Nauka w Polsce (Science in Poland), awarded the Tomasz Trzciński Prize for outstanding information policy. The prize aims to award those individuals and institutions that provide information about scientific research and academic achievements in a professional, transparent, and responsible manner, focusing on both high-quality content and accessibility for a wide audience. And this year's winner, announced on December 12, 2025, at the Science Popularizer competition gala, was Ms. Iwona Cieślik, spokesperson from the Poznań University of Life Sciences (PULS).

It is a prestigious distinction granted by the editorial staff of Nauka w Polsce (Science in Poland), a portal run by the Polish Press Agency (PAP). The patron, Tomasz Trzciński, was a valued science journalist and long-time head of the science department and Nauka w Polsce information service. The recognition is awarded once a year to spokespersons, press offices, and scientific institutions that stand out for their high standards of cooperation with the media.

The award granted to Ms. Iwona Cieślik is a recognition of the consistently implemented information policy of the Poznań University of Life Sciences, based on openness, credibility, and active and cooperative partnership with the media. It also confirms the important role that professional communication plays in the science system and in the effective dissemination of research results.
The award is not only a personal success for the winner, but also an expression of recognition for scientists at the Poznań University of Life Sciences, who actively promote science in the media, strengthening the university's recognition and presence in public debate.
