PULS student to represent Poland in the European network of landscape architecture students
Maria Dziubińska, a landscape architecture student at the Poznań University of Life Sciences, has been selected to represent Poland in ELASA (European Landscape Architecture Student Association) – an international organization bringing together landscape architecture students from across Europe.
ELASA is a unique European network of landscape architecture students, characterized by its open and informal approach. The organization has no rigid hierarchy or formal membership – every landscape architecture student in Europe is part of this community.
The most important element of ELASA's activities is the international student meetings held twice a year. Each edition takes place in a different country and is organized by the students themselves. The program includes workshops, field trips, visits to notable landscape projects, and the exchange of experiences and ideas among participants from various countries.
This year’s meeting was particularly special because it took place in Portugal, where the first ELASA event was held in 1990. Participants had the opportunity to visit cities such as Lisbon, Porto, Sintra and Évora, exploring the local gardens, parks and historic landscapes. The original ELASA organizers also served as guides, sharing the history and vision behind the initiative.
The meeting also included a plenary session during which representatives from each country and the hosts of future editions of the event were selected. As a result, Maria Dziubińska was selected as ELASA’s representative in Poland.
“ELASA is, above all, a wonderful adventure – a unique opportunity to spend time with people who share your passions and interests, and to discover extraordinary places, including those that are normally off-limits to visitors” – emphasizes Maria Dziubińska.
