Qinghai Minzu University representatives visit PULS – double degrees and joint research as a mutual mission
On December 11, 2025, the Poznań University of Life Sciences (PULS) hosted a Chinese delegation from Qinghai Minzu University (QMU). The meeting was aimed at expanding educational cooperation, developing joint research projects, and planning the launch of double degree programs, as well as strengthening relations at the faculties level and student-to-student contacts.
Qinghai Minzu University in the Tibetan Plateau in the People's Republic of China was represented by Professor Zhao Haixing, Rector, Professor Zhaxi Cairang , Dean of the School of International Education and Director of the Office of International Cooperation, Professor Chen Tao, Dean of the School of Continuing Education and Director of the Training Center, and Professor Yang Xinguang, Vice Dean of the School of Politics and Public Administration. The QMU representatives were accompanied by Wojciech Szpakowski and Xinato Yu from the Polish-Chinese Foundation for Academic Cooperation.
The meeting focused on expanding the existing educational cooperation and establishing scientific collaboration between the staff of both universities. The Chinese representatives met with the Rector of PULS, Prof. Krzysztof Szoszkiewicz, and the Vice-Rector for International Relations, Prof. Karolina Pawlak. Following this, the guests engaged in dialogue with the Faculty of Economics dean's authorities on the possibility of establishing a study program resulting in a double degree.
The idea of organising a series of online seminars enabling participants to learn about currently ongoing research topics and form teams that might jointly apply for research projects, was also discussed. Furthermore, it was also pointed out that research and teaching staff from both universities would have the opportunity to participate in research-based internships.
This was followed by a meeting at the Faculty of Environmental Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. The Qinghai Minzu University representatives met with a group of QMU students and graduates, studying Land Resource Management at this faculty. The students expressed their great satisfaction and gave very positive feedback on the level of education and the overall atmosphere at the Poznań University of Life Sciences. A number of them have already mastered the Polish quite well, which proves the high standard of language teaching and their commitment to learn our challenging language while studying in Poland.
After a brief introduction to the Faculty's teaching facilities, including 3D computer rooms and the main lecture hall, Faculty authorities had a chance to exchange their views Chinese guests. It covered both current teaching issues and possibilities for improving the co-organization of joint studies in the future. Both parties expressed their hope that this cooperation would develop steadily in the coming years.
