"Share Your Clothes – Spring Edition” promotes the Zero Waste idea

26.03.2026

From 16 to 20 March 2026, the main hall of Collegium Maximum at the Poznań University of Life Sciences hosted the spring edition of the “Share Your Clothes” initiative, a well-known and much-appreciated clothing exchange market combining social responsibility with environmental awareness.

For several days, the hall turned into a welcoming free shop, where students and members of the academic community could bring clean, well-kept spring and winter clothes:  sweaters, jackets, trousers, dresses, blouses, and freely take items they needed. The initiative met with great interest and engagement from both students and University staff.

Spring’s edition has received endorsement of the Responsible Business League — a programme in which the campaign coordinator, Milena Szafran, an Economics student, participates. Additionally, March 18 was a World Recycling Day – and we celebrated it together by taking action and promoting the Zero Waste idea. This event was part of the Socially Responsible University strategy.

We would like to thank all donors, volunteers, and everyone who visited our stand and supported the idea of a free clothing exchange. Thanks to you, many items have been given a second life, and together we have taken another step toward a more sustainable everyday lifestyle.

Special thanks go to the international students, whose contribution to the spring edition event was invaluable. We sincerely appreciate your selfless help, dedication, and involvement in the demanding process of sorting and recycling the remaining clothes after the event.

We are glad that together we can build an environmentally conscious community, open to actions in the spirit of zero and less waste. See you in the next edition!

Some tips from the organizers:

Do you have worn-out or damaged clothes?

  • Drop them off at a nearby PSZOK or send them via the InPost Ekozwroty campaign.
Let’s take care of the environment – in the spring and all year round!
