"Share Your Clothes – Winter Edition” Supports International Students and Promotes Sustainability

19.12.2025

From 17 to 21 November 2025, the main hall of Collegium Maximum at the Poznań University of Life Sciences hosted the winter edition of the “Share Your Clothes” initiative a well-known and much-appreciated clothing exchange combining social responsibility with environmental awareness.

For several days, the hall turned into a welcoming free shop, where students and members of the academic community could bring clean, well-kept winter clothes: such as sweaters, hats, scarves, and jackets and freely take items they needed. The initiative was especially important for international students, many of whom experience their first Polish winter and may not be fully prepared for the colder climate.

By offering easy access to warm clothing, the event helped international students feel supported, included, and cared for, while also strengthening bonds within the university community. The atmosphere throughout the week was friendly and open, encouraging conversations, integration, and mutual help.

At the same time, the initiative strongly promoted the Zero Waste idea, giving clothes a second life and reducing unnecessary consumption. Each shared item became a small but meaningful step toward a more sustainable and responsible lifestyle.

The winter edition of “Share Your Clothes” once again showed that simple actions can make a real difference, both socially and environmentally. We would like to thank everyone who participated and contributed to the success of this initiative. Together, we proved that taking care of each other is an essential part of academic community life, especially in an international environment.
