Women in Science. PULS at the Women in Tech Summit 2026

17.06.2026

On June 10–11, Poznań University of Life Sciences participated in the Women in Tech Summit 2026, one of the largest events in Europe dedicated to women working in science, technology, engineering and innovation.

The conference brought together thousands of participants from Poland and abroad, offering a rich program of expert presentations, panel discussions, workshops and networking events. Participants had the opportunity to learn about the latest technological trends, hear inspiring stories from female leaders in science and business, and make connections to support their career development.

During the event, Poznań University of Life Sciences had a promotional stand that was visited by hundreds of interested people over the two days. It was an excellent opportunity to speak with prospective students, alumni, members of the academic community and business partners. University staff presented PULS’s educational and research offerings, answered visitors’ questions, and shared their experiences related to academic activities and collaboration with the business community.

A particular source of pride was the presence of three female researchers from the Poznań University of Life Sciences. The researchers – Prof. Anna Woźniak, Ph.D., Eng., Prof. Agnieszka Nowak-Terpiłowska, Ph.D., Eng., and Katarzyna Skrypnik, M.D., Ph.D. – were included in the prestigious “Top 100 Women in Biotech in Poland” ranking, which recognizes women who, through their scientific, research and professional activities, have a significant impact on the development of biotechnology, life sciences and innovative technologies. Their success confirms the high standard of research conducted at PULS and serves as an inspiration for young women planning their future in the world of science.

Among those recognized in the TOP 10 was our alumna: Natalia Rozwadowska, Institute of Human Genetics, Polish Academy of Sciences (Biotech for a Better World) – a biologist and graduate of biotechnology at the Poznań University of Life Sciences, chair of the National Committee for Cooperation with the International Council for Laboratory Animal Science (ICLAS), and a member of the Committee on Human Genetics and Molecular Pathology. In 2026, she was named “Polish Woman of the 21st Century” in the Health category. She is passionate about science communication and founded the non-governmental organization “Gen-i-już,” which aims to make genetics more accessible to the public.
