ZOOTECHNICS and FOOD SCIENCE AND NUTRITION at PULS -BEST IN POLAND!
Following the Perspektywy 2025 Ranking, zootechnics, at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science, maintained its leadership position for the sixth year in a row. Likewise, food science and nutrition program implemented at the Faculty of Food Science and Nutrition repeated the result from last year for the fourth time, placing first in this category. Furthermore, our university placed in the top spot in the category of life sciences and agricultural universities, taking a high third position.
The current-year edition includes the evaluation of 74 fields of study from 9 scientific areas, including the humanities, social sciences, economics, theology, science, life sciences, engineering, medicine and health, along with agriculture, forestry and veterinary sciences. Aside from the aforesaid study fields, the following ranked high: agriculture and forestry – 3rd place, horticulture (3rd), landscape architecture (4th). It is noteworthy that the top ten in the respective categories also included biology (8th position), dietetics (5th) and environmental protection (9th).
The ranking is based on 30 factors grouped into seven main criteria: prestige, success of graduates in the labor market, scientific potential, scientific efficiency, innovation and internationalization. The Poznań University of Life Sciences ranked 3rd spot amid life sciences and agricultural universities and 35th out of all higher education institutions in Poland.
The Perspektywy 2025 Ranking is one of the most reliable and transparent educational compilations in Poland, certified by an international quality validation mark "IREG Approved". The methodology is developed by the Academy Board headed by Prof. Michal Kleiber, former president of the Polish Academy of Sciences. On June 25, a gala award ceremony was held in Warsaw, attended by the rectors and deans of Poland's leading universities, representatives of state authorities, academic and scientific associations from all over the country. On behalf of the Poznań University of Life Sciences, the achievement awards were handed out to:
- Prof. Krzysztof Adamowicz, Vice-Rector for Staff and University Development,
- Assoc. Prof. Jan Mazurkiewicz, Vice-Dean for Studies at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science,
- Prof. Paweł Cyplik, Dean of the Faculty of Food Science and Nutrition.
