PULS Joins the “Commute To Work Without Emissions” Challenge

10.04.2026

Poznań University of Life Sciences has joined the nationwide campaign “Commute To Work Without Emissions,” which aims to promote eco-friendly modes of transportation and support environmental protection efforts. The initiative aligns perfectly with the University’s commitment to social responsibility, combining a focus on health, physical activity, and climate responsibility.

As part of the challenge, participants will be encouraged to give up traditional cars in favor of more sustainable modes of transportation, such as cycling, walking, running, electric scooters, public transportation, or carsharing. The activities will be recorded in the Amanda app, and every kilometer traveled will be converted into actual CO₂ emissions saved. The campaign runs from May 1 to June 30, 2026.

Participating in the challenge benefits not only the environment but also the participants themselves. Above all, it is an opportunity to take care of one’s health, improve fitness, and boost well-being through regular physical activity. Additionally, the organizers are offering attractive prizes for the most active participants, with a total value of up to 3,000 PLN.

As Paulina Wiza-Augustyniak, PhD Eng, the Rector’s Representative for University Social Responsibility, emphasizes, “this challenge is an excellent opportunity to combine daily activity with a real impact on the environment. Every kilometer covered in a climate-friendly way matters, both for our health and well-being and for the quality of the environment in which we live.”
